Finishing on a positive note! SCO Recap

Qualifying
Alexandre Deletraz took qualifying duties as expected for the #27 who already was on the back foot with a registration issue which would result in a early drive through penalty to start the race. Deletraz would qualify in 15th place of the 17 LMP2 entries. Williams Esports would take pole position in both P2 and GT3 classes.

Race
Deletraz served the teams DTP on lap 3 which would drop the team 35 second behind the leaders. This was to put as much gap between the GT3 field to having to work through traffic early on. Though the team was set back from the leaders they would have a lot of clean air to work with, preserve tires and have less chaos when working through GT3 traffic for the first pass through. By the first round of pit stops Alexandre had closed in a gap to the back of the P2 class and it appeared the team was back in the race and could salvage the race and score some points.
With some of the big hitters going out in the race such as your pole sitter Williams, Tronsokolen, and Urano Entry it started to look really good for the #27 as they cracked the top 10 and looked really strong on pace. Taking over the car after was Jakub Wyderka, the call up from PCS making his DeltaSport debut would go on to put on a flawless race and would put in the most laps of the 3 DS drivers with 92 laps completed. Qio-Tiago Marteau was the 3rd and final driver to suit up for the event today and would be experiencing his first endurance race ever after a month or so practicing in the LMP2. The former F3 champion had a mix of emotions before the race; nervousness, excitement expressing the differences between formula style racing and multiclass racing. Marteau would complete 88 laps in his stints and showed very little inexperience and helped keep the car clean to the end getting the honor to bring the car home in 6th place.
It is notable but not a crazy stat to live off of, but the #27 did have the fastest average lap time of any of the entries that finished the race with an average lap time of 1:34.569

DeltaSport would bring home 10pts, more points then the team has scored all season (6) and would move them up 3 positions in the final standings to finish in 16th.

"It was by far a good season, embarrassing if I'm being honest, considering of our pace and results in other competition, but to finish things off with 10pts in 6th place is a big step for the team and more then proud of the guys today and the effort they put into it. We knew this season was going to be about learning and the first half of the season didn't go our way so we turned it into a development series for us and we got to put a lot of guys in the car that wouldn't have gotten the chance if we were in there fighting for the top places and it in the end really paid off for those guys and we're really looking forward to get multiple entries come the next endurance seasons." - Bryan Vorce
