IMSA Michelin EGC Round 3 Race Recap

Sean Campbell made his DeltaSport debut for this round of the IMSA Michelin Esports Global Championship along side our full time driver Christophe Herbigneaux. Campbell took on qualifying duties for this round and put your #99 Porsche inside the top 10 with a lap time of 1:23.143 good enough for 10th place.

The opening stint for Campbell was pretty quiet and without much to report. 44 laps behind BMW Team Redline's Maximilian Benecke in 8th place took us to the first round of pitstops which saw Christophe Herbigneaux take over in the driver seat. Herbigneaux came out of the pits in 12th place and would have a similar uneventful stint as Campbell. The off strategy compared to the others though would put your #99 down pit road on lap 88 in first place. #99 would record their first lap lead of the season but would settle back into 10th place as Sean Campbell takes over for the remainder of the race which is a shortened stint.

The plan to double stint the tires for the shortened stint would come at a cost despite the cooler track temperatures in the final hour of the race. Campbell by lap 109 would be struggling to keep the rears under the car and was defenseless against the pushing cars behind. Come the checkered flag on lap 112 Campbell would cross the line in 14th.
