Week Recap
This week we are happy to announce a new addition to the official DeltaSport roster after completing their trial period! Race week has finally arrived, and our drivers have been preparing endlessly for the Watkins Glen 6HR in hopes for a successful end result.
New Arrivals
Will Redford, a 17 year of sim and real car driver from the UK. Redford has recently completed his trail period and is now an official driver for DeltaSport! Redford has been sim racing since the lockdown of 2020, where he got hooked to sim and has not looked back since. Outside the sim world, Redford competes in the Civic Cup UK for Kinetic Motorsport and studies motor vehicle mechanics in College. Redford not only studies vehicle mechanics, he also works as a mechanic for CSC Racing. As a sim and real driver, Redford stated that the fundamentals of driving are the same, and that was where he picked up his general knowledge about racing, and where he learned how to go fast. Last year, Redford really launched his racing career as a driver, and within that year, he found himself on the podium at Brand Hatch in front of 25,000 people. With that in mind, Redford has intentions as a DeltaSport driver to progress up the ladder and make himself known. As an all-around driver, Redford not only has the skill, but the knowledge to competitively compete against other drivers. Welcome Aboard Redford!
Upcoming Events
iRacing Watkins Glen 6HR June 17-19, 2022
The Watkins Glen 6 Hour is a 6 hour endurance race held annually at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York. It is the fifth round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and an iRacing Official Special Event Cars Competing LMP2 // GT3 (IMSA)
The team will be running the Saturday morning time slot on iRacing June18th.
The team is planning to run 5 different entries for this event, those lineups will be finalized and released later this week but we do know that there will be 3 LMP2, and 2 GT3 entries scheduled. a 6th entry is also in the works but not confirmed at this time.
Departures
Antoine Blankers, Blankers leaves the team with the need to focus on irl matters which he see's taking up a good chunk of time which will limit him from having much time in the simulator. We wish Blankers the best of luck going forward in his life adventures.
